Delta Rho Chapter Chapter at University of Kentucky

As an organization at a prestigious university, the Delta Rho Chapter values the academic development of each of its members. Delta Rho members take advantage of our house quiet study areas and of each other during stressful academic periods. Underclassmen members have the opportunity to use tutoring services provided by older members in order for them to succeed in their classes.

Tri Delta's major in all different areas of study. Some majors include: Biology, Equine Science, Accounting, Dietetics, Chemistry, Nursing, Engineering, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, Political Science, Communications, Education, Communication Disorders, Math, Journalism, Psychology, Sociology, Foreign Language, among others.

Delta Rho has recognized the importance of internships and furthering their education aboard. Delta Rho sisters have interned at places including the House of Representatives in Washington, D.C., Vineyard Vines, RedPeg Marketing, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Krass and Co., The Ritz Carlton Hotels, Louisville Cardinals, North American Automotive Group, and LuLu Lemon. Sisters have also gotten the opportunity to study abroad and form connections overseas in places like Europe, South Africa, South America, Australia, Canada, and Mexico.

This past year our chapter reached many goals. Our chapterwas awarded money for our philanthropy, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, for winning an event known as the Month of Scholar. Throughout the competition, sisters showed their passion for succeeding in higher education academics by logging hours at the campus library and enrolling in tutoring programs with the university.

After the 2014 spring semester Delta Rho ranked 6th out of the 13 sororities on campus. The chapter also was above the all-returning, all-Panhellinic, all-female, all-new member and all-university GPAs. This was a wonderful accomplishment our chapter and we are excited pursue even higher ranks this coming semester!

On top of the chapter’s recognition, individual sisters have received academic honors. The honors that sisters were awarded include acceptance into veterinary school, DO medical school, and the communication sciences and disorders program. We also had two sisters who were awarded scholarships including the Fulbright National Scholar and the Presidential Scholarship.

Delta Delta Delta has always strived to create well-rounded women. Excellence in and out of the classroom has taught members to achieve greatness for both the chapter and themselves. Delta Rho is a group of motivated and educated young women who will only continue to grow in the future.
